Library Programs

Storytime

Storytime is held in the spring and the fall for preschoolers.  Gloris Hatterman is in charge of this program.  A total of five sessions are held; one per week for 45 minutes each.

Summer Reading Program

Summer Reading Program is held for five weeks during the summer.
Sessions are one hour long. Children entering first through sixth grade are encouraged to attend. We have just started this year's program. The theme is "Treasure Your Library" with emphasis on treasure, the sea, pirates, etc. Thirty-one children attended the first session. They were treated to a reading from "The Case of the Dirty Bird" by Gary Paulsen.  Each of the children made a balloon fish puppet to take home. They all received pins and bookmarks and plastic book bags. Sheila Remmereid won the drawing for a canvas bookbag.
